Richard A. Navarre, Chairman of the Board of Directors and President & Chief Executive Officer

Mr. Navarre has served as Chairman of the Board of Directors of Covia Holdings Corporation since 2018 and President and Chief Executive Officer since 2019. Mr. Navarre served as the President and Chief Commercial Officer of Peabody Energy Corporation from February 2008 until he retired in June 2012. He previously served as Peabody Energy’s Executive Vice President of Corporate Development and Chief Financial Officer from July 2006 to January 2008, and as Chief Financial Officer from October 1999 to June 2008. Mr. Navarre is currently an independent Director, member of the Audit Committee and Chairman of the Conflicts Committee for Natural Resource Partners LP, a diversified natural resource company listed on the New York Stock Exchange; independent Director and Member of the Audit and Nominating & Governance Committees for Arch Coal; and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Civeo Corporation. Previously, Chairman of the Board of Directors of United Coal Company, LLC. He is a member of the Hall of Fame of the College of Business at Southern Illinois University Carbondale, and a member of the Board of Advisors of the College of Business & Administration and the School of Accountancy of Southern Illinois University Carbondale. Mr. Navarre is a Certified Public Accountant and received his B.S. in Accounting from Southern Illinois University Carbondale.

Cameron Berry , Executive Vice President, Energy

Mr. Berry serves as Executive Vice President, Energy, of Covia. In this role, he provides leadership for the Energy business segment, including Sales, Marketing, and Research & Development as well as Supply Chain, S&OP and Terminals. Prior to the establishment of Covia, Mr. Berry served as Vice President of Sales for the Oil & Gas division of Unimin. Mr. Berry received a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Calgary.

Andrew Eich, EVP, Chief Financial Officer

Mr. Eich serves as Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer of Covia. In this role, he provides leadership for managing all financial aspects of the company. Prior to the establishment of Covia, Mr. Eich served as Senior Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer of Connecticut-based Unimin and served on the Unimin Board of Directors. From 2004 to 2012, Mr. Eich served in a variety of roles at Aetos Capital, an Asia-focused real estate private equity firm, including roles in M&A, portfolio management, corporate finance and investor relations. Mr. Eich started his career at KPMG LLP in New York, where he worked from 2002 to 2004 in KPMG’s assurance practice. Mr. Eich received a B.A. in Management Economics from Ohio Wesleyan University. Mr. Eich is a CPA (inactive) and CFA charter holder.

Campbell Jones, EVP, Chief Operating Officer

Mr. Jones is Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Covia, a Cleveland, Ohio-based provider of minerals and materials solutions for the energy and industrial sectors. He previously served as President, Chief Executive Officer and Board Director of Connecticut-based Unimin before its mid-2018 merger with Fairmount Santrol to form Covia. He was also Group Chief Operating Officer of Sibelco, Unimin’s parent company; and had been with Sibelco or its affiliates since 2000. He also served as Managing Director of Sibelco Australia Limited from 2006 to 2014, and Executive General Manager/Chief Operating Officer of Sibelco Australia Limited from 2000 to 2006. Prior to joining Unimin, Mr. Jones was Executive General Manager at Commercial Minerals from 1997 to 2000 and Managing Director at Envirotech Australia from 1992 to 1997. Mr. Jones received a B.E. in Metallurgical Engineering from the University of New South Wales.

Chad Reynolds, EVP, General Counsel and Secretary

Mr. Reynolds serves as Executive Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary of Covia, a Cleveland, Ohio-based provider of minerals and materials solutions for the energy and industrial sectors. He is responsible for the company’s legal, corporate governance, and compliance functions. Prior to joining Covia, he served as EVP, Chief Legal Officer and Secretary of Stage Stores in Houston, TX. Mr. Reynolds received a B.A. from Indiana State University and a Doctor of Jurisprudence (J.D.) professional degree in law from the Capital University Law School in Columbus, Ohio.

Brian Richardson, EVP, Chief Transformation Officer

Mr. Richardson serves as Executive Vice President, Chief Transformation Officer of Covia. He is responsible for aligning the company’s strategic initiatives with organizational change to drive incremental profit improvement, developing a process for the commercialization of new ideas, and ensuring that execution and accountability are embedded into our performance driven culture. In this role, he provides leadership to the Transformation and Project Management Office, Human Resources and Corporate Communications teams. Mr. Richardson previously served as EVP, Chief Administrative Officer from June 2018 to September 2019 and EVP, Chief People Officer at Fairmount Santrol from 2015 to 2018. Prior to joining the company he was SVP Human Resources (Global Group) at Sherwin-Williams. Mr. Richardson received a B.A. Finance from Baldwin Wallace University and M.B.A. from The Ohio State University. Mr. Richardson serves on the National Board of Directors of the Alzheimer’s Association as Chair Elect and Member of the Executive and Compensation Committees and on the Board of Directors for United Way of Greater Cleveland, where he is Chair of the Human Resources Committee and Member of the Executive Committee.
